Have you looked in the mirror or looked at a photo of yourself at some stage today? Have you stood and criticised your appearance and wished you looked like someone else? Have you ever noticed how many times we pay compliments to people and how they immediately go into an excuse mode of response? For example: ‘Wow, you look beautiful in that red dress” The response: “Oh this old one?” We tend to not give ourselves a chance. We need to accept the fact that someone has noticed something in you that you might not have and it would be better to accept the compliment and say thank you for noticing without being precocious.
Stop saying to yourself “I don’t think I can” or “what if I am not able to?” and give yourself a chance. What if you COULD or BE ABLE to do something that you thought was impossible?
This might be on old cliché, but BELIEVE in yourself. Realise that you are a unique individual with talents that someone else might not been dealt with. Not one person in the whole world has the same thumb print as you have. Not even identical twins.
If you aren’t happy where you are, change it. Get a new job, move, become a vegetarian, take up a new hobby or pick up an old hobby, whatever you do – make sure it benefits you. The main thing is to live out your uniqueness.
Life is too short to not be alive, to not be passionate and overflowing.
The cost of not following your heart, is spending the rest of your life wishing you had.
Never regret. Don’t apologise for being you.
